The Acores Family Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings

Our first time at the acores family restaurant service was excellent as soon as we arrived there then our server was so sweet and polite excellent service and let me just say the food was amazing delicious. The atmosphere was great too definitely will be going back again soon
Wow, first time here and I’m so glad we stumbled on this place! It’s such a little gem tucked into the neighborhood right by the water. The vibe is super cozy and welcoming, and our waitress couldn’t have been nicer—so kind and really attentive! The food? Absolutely delicious. Authentic Portuguese flavors that made me feel like I was back in the Azores, and the drinks were just as amazing!! Although it took a little while to get a table and get settled, it was totally worth the wait. Couldn’t recommend this place enough—I’ll definitely be back soon with my family!
Where do I begin. I've been chasing good Portuguese steak my whole life (43 years). You find a good place, go there frequently for years and then it closes down and have to find another one. My view of a good Portuguese restaurant is based on their steak plate. But, not all Portuguese steaks are the same. For me, it needs to be pounded steak, with a great flavored sauce, fries, garlic, and hot peppers. After my last favorite place in Fall River closed down, I tried a few places over the past few years, and none were what I crave. I started to try places based on the pictures people shared of their steak plates and came across this place. OMG, it was exactly what I had been missing. The sauce was so flavorful. The steak was huge, tender, but still pounded like I like (I know there is a joke in there, but please focus on the food, lol). If you like thicker steak, they will do that as well. You can get fries and rice, or just fries like I like. My mom has always loved Shrimp Mozambique. She also has had a hard time finding that flavor that she loves. Either the sauce is bland or too lemony. She loves that rich garlic butter sauce, and once again, this place hits the spot. So if your taste buds are like mine, and you are looking for that authentic Portuguese steak plate with a flavorful sauce to dip your fries in, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. I will be a faithful patron for as long as they let me.
Came with two friends. Everything was amazing, from the staff to the food and desert. We ordered Chorizo Bombeiro for an appetizer and it was amazing, we debated ordering a second. I had the Chicken Mozambique flat bread which did not disappoint. My friends got the Bife a Casa and the steak flat bread. Both were delicious. The whole staff was very nice and welcoming. This was our first time but we will definitely be coming back!
What a beautiful atmosphere, when you walk in your welcomed with a smile.Kelianis our waitress was exceptional. The food was delicious and the price was reasonable. You can sit in the back window and watch the sunset. Until Emmy came over and shut the curtain , now I’m in darkest , she was so nice too, closing the shade for her customers, the sun was in her eyes. This was our first time here and I would highly recommend this family restaurant to everyone. I will definitely be back, to watch the sun set. Thank you for a wonderful experience and great food.
